Today, you’re gonna learn how to become financially independent by the age of 30, and we’re starting… right now!
Everyone is looking for “that one thing”. That secret niche. That online business model that no one knows about. The loophole. The exploit.
None of that matters!
What matters is you becoming the person that deserves to be a millionaire.
What I’ve found is that businesses change. What works today might not work tomorrow.
You can be successful; your business can be killing it today, and the next day it can be out of business.
All of these things happen.
But if you develop the character traits – the winning blocks of success – this will allow you to continue to overcome the odds. To win over and over again. To come back. To be resilient.
In other words, to become a millionaire you must first be… a millionaire.
And I know that sounds like some kind of pot-smoking, hippie mumbo-jumbo, so let me give an example.
Have you ever read a news article where some dude wins like a hundred million dollars and within nine months he’s either broke, in jail, or dead?
They usually get the Lamborghini, crack, hookers – the trifecta. The Trifecta of Destruction.
This happens all the time. Why is that?
It’s because you can get a lot of money and not be ready for it. You can get millions and not yet be the millionaire AT HEART… the person that actually deserves that money.
So today we are talking about the winning blocks.
How to build that character up, so you can get it and keep it.
Focus on making your living area (your office, etc), the place where you spend most of your time, make it nice!
Clean it up. Make it organized. By doing this, this creates order IN YOUR LIFE.
Here’s an example of my office…
…yeah, I have some video equipment and stuff around, but everything in here has a purpose.
You also notice I have seven robes. Need those! Can’t be without those.
But more important: look how bright it is in here!
Having a lot of sunlight really boosts your mood. It makes you feel energetic and, because of that, you’ll be more optimistic about the future.
In addition, your neighborhood – WHERE YOU LIVE – makes a big difference in your mental well-being, regardless of where you are right now.
STEP #2: This is something anybody can do. That is focus on sleep optimization.
The deeper and more REM sleep that you achieve, the happier, the smarter, the better that you will be at life.
So if you want to compete at the highest levels…
…if you want to get a lot done and be effective and make good decisions in a short amount of time, you have to be well-rested.
We see all the “hustle mantras” going around:
…forget sleep! Just keep grinding, bro! Keep grinding.
That’s gonna lead to burnout.
Even Jeff Bezos and John D. Rockefeller – well known for getting a lot of sleep – get 8-9 hours of sleep a night.
Hmm… maybe that’s a clue!
A clue to success.
And you know something that Jeff Bezos also does? He leaves me a comment below this blog post! (ha-ha)
I’ve tested this pretty thoroughly.
You might call them indoor sunglasses, whatever. These work a lot. Put these on about two hours before you go to bed.
What happens is that the monitors that you use when you’re doing your work – even the lights above you – all of these things emit blue light.
What blue light does is that it tricks your mind (there’s a little membrane in the back of your brain) that regulates whether or not to release melatonin. Lights trick you into thinking that it’s still daytime and that will suppress your melatonin release, which makes it harder for you to go to sleep. It will take you longer to get to sleep.
But it also affects the amount of deep sleep that you need to achieve.
Deep sleep is very important. Deep sleep is what repairs your mind. It cleans out all the chemical reactions in your mind and it allows you to think he’s better. It also repairs your body faster, making you feel much better physically.
So when you elevate your mood, your well-being, your intelligence, you will obviously be able to achieve a lot more in life – you will make way better decisions.
And when it comes to money, it is so easy to make bad decisions. So that’s why we want the focus on our sleep.
I see this happen all the time: people will be making all this money. They’ll be pulling all-nighters back to back. They’re basically destroying their mind!
And even though they might make a lot of money upfront, they’ll make many foolish decisions that can jeopardize all of that.
So make sure you get your sleep under control.
What’s very important to me is to make sure that I don’t do any work while in bed.
A bed is ONLY FOR SLEEP. What happens is this conditions your mind over time to associate your bedroom – your bed – with going to sleep.
If you’re doing work, planning, reading… this is going to mess up your mind, your habits, and will take you longer to fall asleep and get that deep sleep.
In addition, here are some things that have worked for me.
I remove my standard light bulbs and replaced them with amber light bulbs.
These are darker light bulbs. They emit more like an orangish glow.
This replicates the look of dusk that makes your mind think it’s time for you to go to bed. More importantly, there is no blue light coming out of these light bulbs. They cost like $10 bucks! Massive Improvement, 5%-10% increase in your overall sleep quality.
Get rid of any jarring alarms. This will startle you out of sleep, really messing your body up, your REM sleep. And you’re still groggy throughout the day because you were jolted out of sleep.
I have an alarm clock that wakes me up with light.
So it stays dark and, about 30 minutes before it’s set to go off, it’ll slowly increase the light!
And while it’s doing that, it will also play the sounds of birds chirping, little outdoor-like sounds that are naturally associated with waking up.
This gives you a very nice, soft and gradual awakening period, allowing you to ride that REM sleep wave to the top instead of getting cut off right in the middle. You don’t feel groggy throughout the entire day.
As far as good sleep is concerned, I’ve tested this a lot! It is massive as far as the result of what it can achieve.
Make sure that you stop eating about 4 hours before you go to bed.
This is hard to do. It took me some time to restructure my life, especially when I make dinner. I took up cooking (I’m actually pretty good at it) to ensure that I am able to stop eating 4 hours before I go to bed.
So what happens is, while you have food in your stomach, your body is not able to shut down entirely because it’ll be spending energy to digest that food.
What that means is that during that time period, you’re going to be achieving less deep sleep because it’s going to be cut off – your body won’t shut off entirely.
So you’ll cut your deep sleep in half!
This is a big tip. I recommend you work on this. Out of all the things I shared today…
…along with the blue blockers, do this one thing.
This might cost you but it’s worth every single penny. This boosts your energy, your focus, and your overall intelligence a lot.
Meaning? You can get a lot more done a lot more effectively in much less time.
If you want to achieve those 2-hour workdays, you must be very smart. Very sharp.
It boils down to this: any food that you buy at the grocery store that comes in a box, a can, a bag, or a condiment jar…
…is usually loaded up with vegetable oil.
You don’t want vegetable oil because it messes up your body in many different ways.
What happens is any cell that comes in contact with vegetable oil, it damages that cell and when that happens your body goes into overdrive to repair those cells.
That saps you of energy and also your INTELLIGENCE, because it affects your brain, as well.
So by cutting out vegetable oil, you save a lot more mental energy, you’re not as foggy inside your brain, and in addition, what you may consider doing is eating organic pasture-raised meat and grass-fed butter.
These are loaded up with essential nutrients that allow you to COMPETE AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL.
A lot of the stuff you buy at the grocery store – the meats that are on the shelf – are all devoid of any nutrition.
By spending a little extra money you get a massive return with this small tweak.
There’s a saying:
“If you can’t rule when the amounts are small, you can’t rule when the amounts are large.”
In other words, small leaks sink big ships.
This is something with which I had a lot of problems in the past. When I first started my online business career, when I was a young wee little lad, I made all this money and I blew it all on the stupidest things.
The way this works is that small expenses (personal expenses in your life like going out, eating dinner, spending $50-$60 bucks) don’t register in your mind like a big expense.
Going to spend $10,000 on a trip or a car will.
You can comprehend that, but what you can’t comprehend are small little nicks that chunk away your wealth one day at a time.
So one thing that’s helped me a lot – this is something that John D. Rockefeller did (one of the richest men in the world, worth about 350 billion dollars in today’s inflation-adjusted money) – he would carry around a small notebook/diary with a pen.
Quote: “I would rather earn 1% of 100 people’s effort, than 100% of my own effort.” – John D. Rockefeller
He kept track of every single expense that he incurred throughout the day TO THE PENNY.
This is something he was known to be meticulous about, so if it’s good enough for him, it’s good enough for me!
So what I do now is, I record every expense. It looks funny… probably people think I’m nuts or broke or whatever.
I don’t really care!
What’s important is that I’m “on top”. In my head, I’m keeping track of every single expense that I have.
This is one of the reasons I stopped going out to eat. Because I realized that, not only is it horrible for you because of the vegetable oil but, it whittles away at your wealth.
One thing that you also may consider doing is creating an Excel spreadsheet – keep it right on your desktop – keeping track of every single business expense that you have for your business.
Things build up.
When you try new things, when you’re investing in your business, you’re constantly doing research & development, trying to find new things out…
…expenses build up.
And when these projects fail, as they inevitably will, you’re going to have those expenses left over.
I know so many people who forget about this!
So make sure that once a month (or once every two weeks) you go through your accounts and trim off any extra fat.
By doing that, this is going to make you more profitable but more importantly it’s going to keep your mind in check!
It’ll keep those anxieties from building up so that you can focus on making your business and improving your income and, therefore, your wealth.
And that is exactly how you become a millionaire by age 30!
You become the person who deserves it.
