How much better off would you be if you had twice the amount of energy now than you did when you were a little kid?
…and more importantly, to be able to use that to explode your online business?
If you want that, this is the blog post for YOU.
Do you remember when you were a little kid, and despite getting only 4 hours of sleep, you still woke up happy, excited, and more importantly, filled with energy?
But now you might be experiencing things like brain fog, depression, and more importantly, low energy.
What I’m going to share with you today made a world of difference for me! This is what cured – dare I say – my napping problem!
The reason why we’re tired all the time, we’re not functioning at tip-top levels that we should be, is because there are essentially too many people on Earth for our food supply to properly support.
What’s happening is, in order to keep up with the demand, farmers are growing vegetables in the same plot of land faster than that soil can keep up with.
So they’re not giving the soil enough time to regenerate, which means that the crops – the vegetables that we’re eating – are nutrient deficient because they’re growing in nutrient-depleted soil.
Not only are the vegetables not giving us what we need to be full and to thrive but also the cattle, the livestock, chicken… all of those animals aren’t getting the same nutrients, either.
Animals (livestock) are typically fed with grain nowadays, and on top of that, they’re also crammed in the very confined spaces. They’re sitting in their own urine and feces.
Because of this, not only do you have cattle that are also nutrient deficient (and, therefore, their meat that we consume is also deficient) but they’re also loaded up with added toxins from the way they live.
In other words, our modern diet is turning us into weak people.
You’ll notice there are studies showing how testosterone has dropped a lot over the last 50 to 60 years.
This is part of the reason, in addition to TV, porn and those other things.
So what is happening in order to keep up with the supply, farmers and food manufacturers are injecting their food with sugars, cheap cooking oils to “add nutrients” to the foods.
Everything that we eat from supermarkets, restaurants, etc. is this half-degraded version of food and has little nutrients inside.
That’s the modern diet for you! (more examples coming up)
This results in people who are tired, their bodies aren’t up to par, they look old, they’re waking up not refreshed.
And if you switch to the traditional diet, you will become stronger, faster, smarter, and more importantly, you will have way more energy.
If you really want to dive deep in this topic, I’m going to go over a lot of the key points found in these two recommended books.
If you read these, you will never look at things the same.
It’s kind of like when you remove the veil from your eyes and you finally see things the way they are, and you can never go back.
These two books will do that for you!
Deep Nutrition is a great start. It will basically tell you the problems with modern food and what foods you should substitute them with.
And Nutrition and Physical Degeneration is a wild book – it’s insane! A dentist went to various countries about 70 years ago and found people who were disconnected from the modern world and their local counterparts (who were actually integrated with the modern world).
What he found was that the tribal people were way more healthy.
Now, those same people that went from that tribe and into the modern world, those people within just one generation had missing teeth, lots of cavities didn’t look as attractive, their faces narrowed, and they also had lots of physical problems.
I really recommend you read that book. You will not look at things the same.
So how do you get more energy to compete at the highest level, make more money, win in life (in general), and feel much better?
There’s a lot of science behind this. I’m going to summarize it for you.
When vegetable oil comes in contact with your cells, it essentially destroys them. What will happen is your body will then devote a lot of its energy and resources to cleaning up those cells and removing oxygen with antioxidants.
In other words, your body will have to use a lot of energy to repair the damage that vegetable oil is causing to your body.
EVERY CELL in your body is affected by it.
This creates inflammation, and inflammation causes a lot of problems for your body. It makes you:
…and you can’t compete at the highest level.
There are lots of alternative good oils to cook with:
These are great substitutes. On the flip side of things, the bad oils are:
Every restaurant that you go to uses canola oil. There are very few exceptions to this. The reason why they use it is that canola oil is so easy to produce. It’s so cheap that if they were to substitute canola oil with, say, olive oil, that increases the cost to 50¢-75¢ per plate.
That eats into a lot of the restaurant’s profits.
So every time you eat out, you are hurting yourself a lot.
When you read these books, you will see just how much disservice you are doing your body. You are essentially killing yourself with every bite that you take.
Also, avoid seed-based oils. More importantly, avoid margarine.
Each spoonful of margarine is one spoon closer to death! So do not eat margarine under any circumstances.
Just by doing this alone, I’ve noticed a massive, massive increase in my energy levels! I feel so much better. My mind is sharper. This is a massive improvement and I recommend, at very minimum, you do these.
This will be difficult, especially if you like candy (I personally don’t). I stay away from candy because of the sugar, so I thought I had an advantage.
But there are some things you don’t think about… like fruit!
Remove sugar from your diet. What sugar does is the same thing as vegetable oil, in a different way.
It results in inflammation, which stops things from getting the nutrients they need. It confuses the body.
Either lower or limit the amount of sugar that you take. I originally thought, “This is okay. I don’t eat desserts that much. I don’t eat candy.”
BUT FRUIT ALSO HAS A LOT OF SUGAR!
Lots of starches are bad, as contained in potatoes. When the body breaks down starches, they convert into sugar.
This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t eat fruit. But you want to keep your fruit intake to about a portion close to 1-2 apples a day.
Work this into your life. Do it slowly but surely. You’ll also find that your inner body will be much cleaner, you’ll feel better, once the sugar is removed from your diet.
When it comes to meat, choose pasture-raised cattle that were fed a vegetarian diet. Cows should be allowed to graze the fields and eat grass.
A lot of cows nowadays are fed grains, which is depleted of all nutrients. So go with pasture-fed, grass-fed beef.
It’s so much different than the crap you see at grocery stores. If you ever bought one versus the other, and compare it, just look at it. It’s a massive difference.
Yes, it’s more expensive but it is worth it.
Some things you’ll want to look out for, though, there’s a difference between grass-fed and grass-finished beef.
Look for words like “100% vegetarian diet.” That means they’re fed grass.
This takes a lot of skill but you will want to learn to cook your meat and vegetables at a lower temperature.
If you overcook your meat, even just beyond medium, the nutrients kind of bind together and gets all clogged up, and your body isn’t able to pull them apart to use them to the best of its ability.
Essentially, overcooking meat will destroy the nutrients within the meat and the meat becomes hard to eat.
So try to aim for about medium-rare. That’s where I’m at. Some people do rare. Medium-rare with steak is about 150° degrees, a little bit lower than that.
You also want to slow-cook the beef. If you flash cook it, like if you sear it too hot, this will cause problems. It’ll burn up that layer on the front of the beef.
It is quite a skill. It’s taken me some time to adjust the temperatures. It’s not as easy as flipping a switch. You forget to really learn what it looks like; it’s worth it, though.
This is a huge tip. If you don’t do it right, you are destroying all the nutrients within the food itself, even if you’ve bought the good stuff.
I’ve created my diet all around these foods. Here are a few more to add to your diet.
Walnuts. The massive building material for your brain. They are loaded up with omega-3 fatty acids.
This is what your brain is made of; this is what gives you energy. Great brain-building material.
If you’ve ever studied 2-3 days straight, and your head feels like it just can’t focus and feel completely depleted, they theorize it’s because you run out of omega-3s.
So constantly refuel your source of omega-3. Walnuts are a great way to do it. I get organic walnuts.
Spinach. Another great way to get omega-3, and it’s also a great antioxidant. This reduces inflammation, keeps you younger, cleaner, opens up everything so things can work the way they should.
Whole Organic Yogurt. For my breakfast, I usually have a bowl full of organic yogurt, a little bit of honey, and a half-handful of blueberries. I will also load it up with pumpkin seeds & sunflower seeds (both of those fully organic).
Chicken Stock & Bone Broth. I get organic, free-range chicken stock. Loaded up with nutrients. A little bit more expensive and worth it. I eat this for lunch, adding in some vegetables, pop in 2 pasture-raised eggs and pasteur-raised chicken.
Eggs. Eggs are a great source of everything that you need. Get eggs that are produced by pasture-raised chickens, fed with a 100% vegetarian-based diet. They cost more, about twice the amount, and worth it.
Eggs are a great source of a lot of nutrients that are missing from a modern diet.
Dark chocolate. In small portions, chocolate made of about 85% cocoa is healthy. Anything above that, it starts becoming processed and they add stuff that really messes everything up.
I eat something called Lindt (weird name). That’s the chocolate that I eat. Again, only a small amount because you don’t want to go overboard with sugars.
Make changes in your life away from the old stuff and towards these foods, and you’re gonna notice a HUGE, HUGE improvement over the course of about 30 days.
Start shifting your discipline now, towards these types of foods. I promise you, you will not regret it.
You will see that your energy explodes.
I don’t take naps anymore. When I wake up I feel completely refreshed.
When I work out, I’m just ripping it up. I’ve got all the nutrients I need. I’m way smarter. I’m thinking cleaner.
It is worth EVERY. SINGLE. PENNY and then some.
Why doesn’t everyone else do this? Two reasons: it costs extra money and time.
Normally for the two of us, it’s about $150 per week doing the “modern diet” at the grocery store. When we try to go more traditional, it’s about $250 per week.
You’re gonna spend about $100 bucks a week extra for two, but it’s worth it.
Also, you have to go to multiple stores to get it all put together. It’s worth it. Put in the extra time.
Let’s say you get about 20% boost in energy. I really think that’s the low end. I think it’s more like 50% to even 100% more energy.
So, is it worth it for YOU to spend an extra $100 to get a boost in all performance across every area of your life by 20%?
The answer is YES. In my opinion, it’s worth way more.
I wanted to share this because it’s helped my life a lot, and I think you’ll do much better, too. It took me a few months to really start getting into this and doing it properly. But I can’t go back.
Now that I see the difference, I no longer go out to eat at restaurants (which is a massive saving in money). Eating out takes 2 hours of my time while cooking only takes me about an hour and a half. So I save time and I’m eating good brain/performance food, too!
Hope you enjoyed this article! If you did, leave a comment below. It’s not time for me to go take a nap, because I got a whole lot of energy now. See you deadbeat later!
